Local Parks Near Cincinnati, OH - Beechmont Ford

Cincinnati, OH is a thriving, family-friendly city full of green spaces and fun recreational activities. If you feel like spending a pleasant afternoon outdoors, there are plenty of lovely parks to choose from. Here are three of the best you’ll find in and around town.

Washington Park

Perhaps the prize of all Cincinnati’s natural areas is this beautiful, extremely well-cultivated park in the city center. No matter the season, you can stroll through Washington Park’s seasonal flower gardens, enjoy the water features, and take part in regular community activities. Here, you’ll often find mini-festivals of various themes, colorful parades, live music performances, food trucks, and various other vendors.

The children’s playground is very popular. Other common activities for the kids include soccer games, face painting, and balloon animals. There’s also a spacious dog park area, with a cute little fountain for the dogs to play in. You’ll find this fantastic park at 1230 Elm Street.

East Fork State Park

If you feel like more of an escape into the great outdoors, a short drive to the east of town will bring you to this magnificent state park. East Fork State Park has almost 5,000 acres of lovely natural scenery, with a huge lake, winding rivers, and miles of excellent hiking, biking, and horse-riding trails.

The lake is a terrific spot for fishing. If you drive there in your new 2023 Ford EcoSport, you can pack your fishing rods and gear in the spacious boot of your car, and also bring along a picnic basket with plenty of food to enjoy beside the water. Many who visit this gorgeous state park stay overnight at the extensive camping facilities, which are very well-kept and well-staffed too. You can find the park at 3294 Elklick Road, Bethel OH 45106.

Eden Park

Another much-loved local park inside the city is Eden Park, which has a rather unique and charming woodland-themed playground for kids. It’s also home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Playhouse, and the Krohn Conservatory. So you can enjoy a cultural day of art and history before enjoying some sunshine, fresh air, and stunning river views from hillside stretches of well-tended grass.

The two lakes of Eden Park were once quarries and are joined by a picturesque bridge. Plenty of walking trails here take you near many perfect places for taking photos including a gorgeous waterside gazebo that’s often used for wedding ceremonies. The park is kept clean and there are ample public bathrooms. You’ll find it at 950 Eden Park Drive in the center of town.
