2023 Ford Ranger

For 2023, the Ford Ranger is available in three trims: XL, XLT, and Lariat. The cab and bed combinations are the same for all trims. You can get a SuperCrew (crew cab) with a 5-foot bed or a SuperCab (extended cab) with a 6-foot bed. Beginning with the XL, standard exterior features include 16-inch steel wheels and a manually locking tailgate.

Move up to the XLT, and you add 17-inch alloy wheels along with access to optional packages, including the Sport Appearance, 301A, and 302A packages. If you go with the 302A package on the XLT, you can add heated, power-folding outside mirrors. The Lariat features standard LED headlights. One engine powers all trims of the 2023 Ford Ranger, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Excellent fuel economy for a truck with an EPA-estimated 26 mpg highway is another benefit to going with a smaller pickup. For all three trims, rear-wheel drive is standard, with an all-wheel-drive system available to enhance control in inclement conditions and better traction on rougher terrain.

The 2023 Ford Ranger offers a best-in-class payload of 1,905 pounds to haul plenty of gear on your next adventure or to the job site. The best-equipped Ranger can pull up to 7,500 pounds, so you can easily tow an RV, work trailer, ATV trailer, or boat. If heading off the beaten path is on your agenda, opt for the Tremor Off-Road package, which gets you Fox shocks, a 0.8-inch increase in ground clearance, and a revised suspension.

Starting at the base XL, you'll find interior features in the 2023 Ford Ranger, such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 3.5-inch center display screen, one USB port, a four-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can also opt for various packages with additional features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, and a six-speaker stereo. The XLT adds an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Lariat offers leather upholstery. Adding the 501A package gets you a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
